Eschewing violence and obscure imagery, the film beautifully depicts the protagonist’s single-minded journey to see his brother, set against a backdrop of lush natural scenery. Starring Richard Farnsworth of *The Grey Fox* (1983). He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of an indomitable elderly man enduring the pain of terminal cancer. The music is by David Lynch’s longtime collaborator Angelo Badalamenti. Warm yet poignant acoustic tracks featuring guitar and fiddle lend a poignant atmosphere to the story. This masterpiece, which generated significant buzz upon its theatrical release in a 4K remastered version supervised by Lynch, is now available on DVD!
