Filled with piano beauty, the rich European sentiments will move your heart! The honey-like sweetness hidden in the music seems to seep into you in the slow and easy time. A blissful time will be delivered to you. Dutch pianists are, to use a rough term, many of them swing brightly, and I listen to them with sympathy. For example, Pim Jacobs and Louis van Dyk. For example, Pim Jacobs, Lewis Van Dyk, Rex Jasper, and Jos Van Beest are in the same vein. This is a trio disc without drums, with guitar and bass. It is a trio disc without drums, with guitar and bass, and is more like chamber music, with a more intimate and melodic piano. From the opening track (1), the piano swings powerfully. The bluesy performance puts the listener in a jazz-like mood. The following (2) is another composition of his own, this time a fast-tempo bossa nova. Come to think of it, Jasper is also a charming composer. Of these, I, for one, thought the second half (8), "My Dear Elaine," was the best. It is a waltz with a very catchy phrase, though it is only 5 or 6 seconds long at the beginning. The song was dedicated to the English singer Elaine Delmar.The flowing rhythm of the piano is really lovely. The next song (9) is a Bacharach classic. (10) is the title track of this album, and the dialogue between the three of them in the middle of the track is also excellent. Going back a little, (5) is a solo song with a long introduction. The introduction of (5) is so long that you might think it is a solo. Together with (6) by Jimmy Webb, the gentle tones of the piano are impressive. The total time for the 14 songs is a little over 54 minutes. It is an intimate trio work with a lineup of short pieces. This is already "Happy Talk" by three jazzmen. Please enjoy.
