[A portrait of the versatility of oboe player Victor Avia, who passed away suddenly. This is a memorial album for oboe player Victor Avia, who was born in Montpellier in 1982 and died suddenly in Berlin on May 1, 2025. He was the principal oboist of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and the Mozart Orchestra under Claudio Abbado, as well as the principal oboist of the Budapest Festival Orchestra led by Ivan Fischer for 20 years. Fischer wrote an obituary praising him as "the conductor's dream musician. The album includes a collection of Schumann's works recorded about a year before his death, which showcases his beautiful tone and rich expression full of songfulness. CD2 is a recording of her own songs as a singer-songwriter playing the piano. The songs are all melodious and beautiful, and his voice, which has just the right amount of sweetness and freshness, is wonderful, and it is a surprise to learn that he was a chanson singer who had the ability to be a prodigy. He also participated in some parts of the album with drums and guitar (player unknown). The booklet also includes paintings of his own work and a message to young musicians.This is a very rich album that mourns the sudden death of a man of many talents, who in recent years had also expanded his activities as a conductor.
