The album is led by François Lazarevich, an old music flutist who also skillfully plays the bagpipes of folk music, and features a small group of elite performers who are at the forefront of French old music soloists, a reliable group that can only be found on the ALPHA label. Julie Lozée, a solo singer, is a gifted talent who has performed on the stage of Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, a gifted conductor of Baroque opera. His detailed singing, backed by his thorough attention to the nuances of the lyrics, has an overwhelmingly appealing effect on the ear. The precision and fullness of the instrumentation, which can be said to be the greatest feature of this recording, is also worthy of special mention.The Air de Coeur is often accompanied by a single lute, but here, depending on the content of the piece, viols, traverso (baroque flute), musette, and other melodic instruments also participate.
