Wagner's opera "Tristan und Isolde" was first performed at the Vienna Court Opera in 1883. Since then, it has been performed more than 400 times and has become a popular opera. In the performance in June 2013, Nina Stemme, making her debut as Isolde at the Vienna State Opera, and Peter Seifert, a veteran singer who has been awarded the title of "Kammersanger" (court singer) at the opera house, sang Tristan, and the performance was of a high standard.
