Goro Yasukawa

The 50th anniversary of the first woman to climb Mount Everest. Director Junji Sakamoto and Sayuri Yoshinaga team up for the first time in 13 years since "The Canaries of the North" to present an adventure of epic proportions! The music is composed by Goro Yasukawa, who has composed music for many of Sakamoto's films. Why do people climb mountains? Because there is a mountain there. A mountaineer once famously said, "Because there is a mountain there. Whether the path is difficult or easy, up or down, up or down, the decision is ours to make, and the path we take is our own. Why do you choose that mountain, that path? This is the story of Junko Tabe, a female mountaineer and her family, who put everything she had into challenging the "top" of the mountain. The main character, Junko, is played by Sayuri Yoshinaga, a leading actor in the Japanese film industry, who makes her 124th film appearance. Masaaki, Junko's supportive husband, is played by Koichi Sato, an award-winning actor with an overwhelming presence. Etsuko Kitayama, Junko's friend and Everest climbing partner, is played by Yuki Amami, who has been working with Yoshinaga for the first time in six years since their collaboration in the film "How to Find the Best Life. The role of Junko in her youth is played by NON, who is an actor and shows her talent in many fields, including her artistic activities. The "party" also included Fumino Kimura, Tatsuya Wakaba, Asuka Kudo, and Mizuki Kayashima, all of whom are talented actors who are aiming for the steep and high peaks of the film. The music was composed by Goro Yasukawa, who has directed many of Sakamoto's films. The elegant sound of the horns and strings and the dignified theme music on the piano express the protagonist's way of life itself. The hero, who never gives up and continues to challenge the mountain with his life, gives people courage and hope.
