Lords Of Black

Description:

LORDS OF BLACK, a power metal band led by Spanish guitarist Tony Hernando, has completed its sixth album. The lineup is as stable as in recent works, with Ronnie Romero, his partner since their debut, on vocals, Dani Criado on bass, and Joe Nunez on drums. The mixing and mastering is done by Roland Grapow, formerly of Helloween and now of Masterplan, who has been in charge of the band since its early works. Leader Tony commented prior to the album's release, "The new album is without a doubt the most powerful and diverse collection of songs we've ever done, and it has all the elements you'd expect from LORDS OF BLACK. It's traditional heavy rock with a modern sonic approach, progressive elements, and an undeniably strong melodic approach given by Ronnie Romero's voice and my guitar. There are a lot of cool elements that make this one special, and I and my bandmates completely agree and are really proud of it.Roland, who mixed and mastered the album, agreed with me." Tony has also focused on the album's theme, and while the album is by no means a "concept piece," there is always a connection in the songs to the title "Mechanics Of Predacity," which is a reference to the fact that In a way, it expresses a vision of the fact that the entire history of mankind, from its humble animal and tribal beginnings to the present day, is the result of plunder. 'Our lyrical content has always been very strong, but it's even stronger on this album,' Tony explains. 'Some of the lyrics are serious, some of them are controversial given people's opinions and extremism these days... I try to come up with lyrics that make sense, that can speak for the opinions of the masses. But again, our main intention was to do our best, both musically and lyrically, to give the fans a wonderful and deep journey." We are definitely an old school band in the sense that we are making an album, not just swapping out individual songs for a playlist!"
