An enchanting journey through London's suburbs, Sample The Sky is an ode to care, connection, and listening to the natural world. Organic electronic production, embodied lyrics, wind-inspired saxophone, singing, synths, and more are woven into left-field pop songs that respond to the patterns of nature. In a departure from her previous work, which was created alone in her bedroom, Laura has now opened up every aspect of the process to the creative community in South London.These ranged from guest musicians and field recordists to painters, florists, dancers, and tapestry makers. While some of the songs had been in the works for years, it was a year-long collaboration with composer/producer William Arcane that led to the record taking shape. Before his own live band was involved, all of the sounds on the album were performed/recorded from scratch and completed in near final form.
