FAUST is a band that has created one of the most unorthodox sounds in the German Rock scene, and in fact in all of music of the same era. The new album "FAUST", which is a project of Werner "Zappi" Diermaier (original member) and Gunther Wusthof (original member), was released from Bureau B in Germany in 2021. The album is produced in the same way as their first album "DAUMENBRUCH" released on Eroto Tox Decodings label in the U.S. in 2010. Based on an improvisation session by Werner (drs), Dirk (b), and Elke Drapatz (effects) at the home studio of Dirk Dresselhaus, aka Schneider TM, who is active as a solo artist in the synth pop and electronica fields. The album is based on an improvised session by Werner (drs), Dirk (b), and Elke Drapatz (effects), and is completed with overdubs by supporting members such as Uwe Bastiansen, who has worked with ABWARTS, etc. It is a non-genre soundscape that emphasizes the experimental spirit, democracy, and accidentality that is FAUST.The sharp and radical brutality shown in the 70's works is enveloped by a series of primitive "krautrock-like" repetitive beats and phrases, and an industrial and three-dimensional sound space woven with percussion, electronics, and effects. The sound image, which is wrapped in an industrial, three-dimensional acoustic space with percussion, electronics, and effects, gives the impression of maturity and intelligence typical of FAUST.
