The album contains rare works, including some world premiere recordings, most of which were recorded at the only annual Shostakovich festival in the world, the "International Shostakovich Festival" held in Gorlish, Saxony, Germany. This is a must-listen for Shostakovich fans, with about 80 minutes of Shostakovich's little-known music performed by well-known artists. We are grateful to the organizers of the "Gorsh International Shostakovich Festival" for premiering these previously unpublished works by Dmitri Shostakovich.
