Mexican progressive guitarist J.G. Mares' symphonic project '22 debut is now available in digisleeve format from the emerging Mexican progressive label PROG ESENCIA! Inspired by the book "El retorno de los brujos" by French authors Louis Pauwel and Jacques Bergier on the theme of occultism/mysticism/science fiction. J.G. Mares himself plays a variety of instruments: electric guitar (6/8 strings), acoustic guitar (6/12 strings), nylon guitar, bass, synthesizer, theremin, and snare drum. In addition, he also composed/arranged the music himself. Garcia Orozco, who plays in Artefactron and other Mexican bands, guested on synthesizer on the 13th track. The album has a sprawling symphonic rock sound with a hard guitar sound and cosmic spatial processing. The album contains a total of 14 instrumental tracks that are well put together with a variety of approaches.
