Description:

DARK FORTRESS, a melodic black metal band from Landshut, Germany, was formed in 1994. The melodic black metal band DARK FORTRESS from Landshut, Germany, formed in 1994, has won the trust and support of many black metal fans by producing high quality albums with spectacular and dramatic development and jet-black sound mass. The eighth album, "Spectres from the Old World," is released six years after the band's last album, "Venereal Dawn," the longest in the band's history. While the previous album had the theme of the life cycle of the birth and death of the universe as told by time and space, this album is a more direct and aggressive work. The band has had Paymon (Key) leave the band since the last album, and Phenex (Key) is the newest addition to the band. This is another self-produced work, the same as the debut, with V. Santura at the helm of production.Recording began on January 3, 2019 at Woodshed Studios, with several months of recording drums, as well as a fresh approach to the work. A solid amount of time was spent on each part.Recording of the final vocal parts was completed in September. It was then mixed and mastered by guitarist V. Santura, with a completion date of November 6. The single "Pulling At Threads," which was pre-released in December 2019, was the fastest and shortest caustic song on the album and created a buzz. In addition, "Isa," considered the most epic and heavy song in the band's history, was released in January 2020. This one, by contrast, is a massive work, boasting the longest song on the current album at over seven minutes. Fans are already in a frenzy with these two songs, which raise expectations endlessly. The band is very confident about this album and hopes to spread it in more places.
