John Wilson's second Korngold! Violin Concerto played by Havalon! John Wilson is a conductor, arranger, and specialist in light and American music, and has built his reputation with Chandos with orchestral works by Richard Rodney Bennett and Aaron Copland. John Wilson has reunited the Sinfonia of London, an orchestra founded in 1955 for recording purposes, and has undertaken a new project, the collection of Korngold's orchestral works. The first release (CHSA 5220) was critically acclaimed worldwide for its overwhelming expression and performance, and has been praised by BBC Music Magazine, Gramophone Magazine, Music Web International, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, Diapason Magazine, Classica Magazine (France), and Record Art International REVIEW, as well as by the BBC Music Magazine, Gramophone Magazine, Music Web International, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, Diapason Magazine, and Classica Magazine. The album includesSoloist Androu Havalon is a virtuoso who has been the leader of the Brodsky String Quartet for many years, concertmaster of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra, and is currently the Sydney Symphony Orchestra's conmass. The Sinfonia of London Chamber Ensemble features a lineup of well-known names, including Havalon, James Boyd, Joel Hunter, and Yonatan Åsgård, who are various orchestral players and soloists.
