A musical legend and three-time Academy Award winner who broke down the boundaries between jazz, symphonic music, musical comedy, and popular music, Legrand composed the music for many classic films such as "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg," "The Girls of Rochefort," and "The Donkey's Skin," and over the decades, he has created many works on themes that people Legrand has left many works over the decades on themes that remain in people's memories. A tribute album to Legrand's music, "Legrand (Re)Imagined," will be released on Decca Records. The album brings together some of the world's best pianists and composers, including Chilly Gonzalez, Stefan Mocchio, and Chad Lawson, who each interpret Legrand's music and perform it on solo piano in a chilled and contemporary setting.
