Dramatic Tenor, McCracken's Famous ChorusAmerican tenor, McCracken. He was a lyricist at the time of his debut, but later switched to dramatic singing and dominated the 1960s as an "Otero singer. On this album, you can hear a duet by McCracken and his wife, mezzo-soprano Sandra Warfield, recorded in 1964 (tracks 8-11), and a collection of arias by McCracken alone, recorded in 1969. The opening aria, "Put on your costumes" from "The Clown," from the complete recording with Gardelli, was highly acclaimed when it was released; the five tracks [2, 3, 4, 6, 7] are the first authorized Decca CD releases.
