The series has been consistently recorded live over a period of about two years, and the result is a beautiful work of art that highlights the pulsating, lush piano tone in every detail. In fact, encores were performed at each of those concerts, which were also recorded. These performances have been combined into a single album and are now available for the first time. All of the pieces are Schubert, Haydn, Bach, and Beethoven, all of which are Schiff's favorites, and the delicate touch and fluid phrasing of Schiff's playing allow them to shine with blissful brilliance.
