The collaboration between Miles Davis and tenor saxophonist John Coltrane from 1955 to 1961 produced some of the greatest recordings in jazz history. This release, The Complete Cookin' Sessions, also features Red Garland (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), and Philly Joe Jones (drums), and was recorded in two marathon studio sessions between May 11 and October 26, 1956 This is a compilation of all of the quintet's recordings.
