Ghost Stories Live 2014" features a one-of-a-kind performance by Coldplay in March 2014, when they performed their "Ghost Stories" album in front of a very small group of fans in a custom-built theater inside Sony Studios in Los Angeles. Directed by Grammy-nominated director Paul Dugdale, this one-of-a-kind, innovative film showcases the band's performance alongside breathtaking visuals projected on a 360-degree overhead screen. Chris Martin said of the show: "The 'Ghost Stories' show at Sony Studios was a very special time for the band. The magical theater with the 360-degree screen that our amazing crew built was a dream come true. It was also the first time that people outside of our studio heard many of our new songs.This film is, in essence, our original vision for the 'Ghost Stories' album. Part of this show has already been aired on major TV networks around the world, including NHK BS Premium in Japan, as a "Coldplay TV Special" in May 2014, and now the complete version is finally available as a video product! This video includes 8 music videos from the "Ghost Stories" period. Of these, "All Your Friends" and "Ghost Stories" are previously unreleased videos that were made as B-sides for the EP, and the extended director's cut of the "Magic" video is exclusive to this release. The CD on Disc 2 includes the "Excruciating Ghost Stories Live Album," featuring live recordings of the band's London, Sydney, Paris, Cologne, New York, and Los Angeles shows from April through July of 2014. This is a full collection of enthusiastic LIVE performances from around the world, also on CD!
