The long-awaited re-release of the complete piano works by Gilbert Schuchter, which was released by the TUDOR label in 1989, is now being re-released in a new look (old (formerly TUDOR740). Born in 1919, Schuchter gave his first concert at the age of nine, and later studied piano with Franz Lewinka and conducting with Winfried Paumgartner at the Mozarteum Conservatory in Salzburg. In August 1945, he performed with Eugen Jochum at the first Salzburg Festival after the war to great acclaim, and his reputation was cemented. He has made numerous recordings for the TUDOR label, including Mozart: Complete Piano Works, Pfitzner: Piano Works, and Pfitzner: Piano Works, His recordings of Mozart's complete piano works and Pfitzner's complete piano works are still highly acclaimed, and some of them are sold at high prices on the Internet market.In this recording, Schuchter plays the Bösendorfer Imperial with great care, making the melodies sing with fullness.
