This is the second release by Connie Han, an up-and-coming female pianist, after a year and a half since her first release, Mack Avenue, which was a respectful tribute to tradition and had the power that the title symbolizes. Her vision draws from traditional artists such as McCoy Tyner and Hank Jones, as well as the new mainstream artists of the 80s and 90s such as the Wynton and Branford Marsalis brothers, Kenny Kirkland, and Jeff Watts. The concept of this album is the same as that of Richard Rodgers' "CrimeZone," but this time, she continues to promote the contemporary world of "CrimeZone. The performance is symbolized by the title "Iron Starlet. Iron= iron.The hard-hitting jacket power of "Crime Zone" and "Crime Zone" also show an artist with a strong will, but both Walter Smith III and Jeremy Pelto take their mainstream playing one step further with their heavyweight acoustic and electric performances. The percussive, powerful touch of the piano is reminiscent of the Kenny Kirkland of old. On the other hand, he also has an elegance and blues sensibility.
