Every track is bursting with energy!! This new album is from the UK-based brother dance duo whose past two albums reached No. 1 in the UK and who headlined the Mountain Stage on the final day of Summer Sonic 2019. The album *ENERGY* combines the raw rhythms found on a Brazilian library music album with the title track “ENERGY.” While their previous two albums, *Settle* (2013) and *Caracal* (2015), were recorded with just the necessary number of tracks, *ENERGY* was born from a grand process of creation and distillation. A defining feature of this album is that its shortest and most direct path—11 tracks totaling 39 minutes—was forged from a process involving approximately 200 songs, ranging from drum loops to fully realized tracks. The concept that “the energy possessed by every human being has the power to either sustain or destroy this Earth, and we will be held accountable for it” is the basis for the album’s title, *ENERGY*. The tracks on the album *ENERGY* are works with ecological themes that support a larger narrative about how to take responsibility for one’s place in this world and the choices one makes. This album, *ENERGY*, marks Disclosure’s first collaboration with artists who express themselves in French through their own unique dialects, such as Fatoumata Diwara from Mali and Brick Bassy from Cameroon. Talented artists from around the world have contributed to this album, and for the first time, a rapper has also participated.
