Paco de Lucia, a flamenco guitar prodigy from Spain, and John McLaughlin, a jazz guitarist from England, played together in a trio with Larry Coryell and in a trio with Al Di Meola, creating a whirlwind of guitar trios in the 1980s. The two musicians with contrasting styles continued to deepen their friendship, and in 1987 the duo toured Europe, including the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. This live archive is based on the broadcast recording of the Berlin concert held on July 17 of the same year! This album contains the complete set list of the performance on that day, in which the trio with Al Di Meola performed songs from the classic albums "Friday Night In San Francisco" and "Passion, Grace & Fire," as well as songs from the Mahavishnu Orchestra, cover songs, and solo numbers.
