Since September 2005, he has taught in the flute department at the Vienna Conservatory of Music. He also served as principal flutist with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra from 2005 to 2011 and with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra from 2000 to 2004. He studied with Eva Amsler in Feldkirch (Austria), Aurèle Nicolet in Basel (Switzerland), and Philippe Bernold at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon (France). As a soloist, he has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Akademie Kammerorchester, and the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of conductors including Fabio Luisi, Jakob Kreitzberg, and Sir Neville Marriner. As a student, he won first prize at the Carl Nielsen International Flute Competition (1998) and the Krakow International Flute Competition (1999). He is also actively involved in chamber music and performs with ensembles such as the Ensemble Wien-Berlin—which he joined as the successor to Wolfgang Schulz—and the Vienna Ring Ensemble. (CAMERATA)
