Description:

The Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations" 4CD set of all sessions! The process of making the miraculous masterpiece is thoroughly recorded from a vast amount of session recordings by day! Each of the 4 CDs comes in a paper jacket, slipcase, and 8-page instruction booklet. The Beach Boys released the single "Good Vibrations" in 1966, which was their biggest hit in the U.S. and the U.K., and it was #1 in both the U.S. and the U.K., matching the "love & peace and psychedelic" trend that was happening at the time. It is said to be a miracle pop song that Brian Wilson began working on during the recording of the "Pet Sounds" album and that it is the crystallization of his talent, packing sparkle and surprise, pop and avant-garde, into a mere 3 minutes and 36 seconds. As Mike Love (vo) has stated, "We dubbed the same part, which is only 2 to 5 seconds long, 30 times," and it took over 90 hours, 7 months, and $50,000 to record this one song. The 4-CD set includes all of the recordings in their entirety. The 4-CD set is packaged in a slipcase. The changing tempo, the dizzying development, and the catchy melody. Disc-1 is taken from take 1 of the first session on February 17, 1966. The chord progression to the memorable chorus, "âGood, Good, Good Vibrations," has not yet been created. Brian Wilson instructed the Wrecking Crew (studio musicians) and the session proceeded, with the chord progression of the chorus appearing only after take 28. By March 3, the chord progression for the development section is complete, and Brian Wilson records a tentative song.On April 9, however, the tempo was slowed down and everything was re-recorded from scratch, with the fourth development part, which is considered the D part (details are shown in the composition chart in the liner notes), still missing, and Brian was still trying to figure out how to connect it to the final part. The session was recorded on tape. He gave detailed instructions to Hal Blaine on the drum fill-in phrase, and in a section that was not used in the final version but continued for eight bars with one chord in F (with an F7 in between), Brian himself exclaimed from the console, "What a beautiful take! Brian himself exclaimed from the console, "What a beautiful take! The entire session, which lasts a total of 277 minutes, or 4 hours and 37 minutes, follows the sound of the final composition of "A→B→A→B→C→D→E→F part" through various processes, while also trying out that lost chorus section "♪Hambi Nan" in the middle of the session. For true Beach Boys maniacs and those in pursuit of the secrets of pop songs. Includes GOOD VIBRATIONS song structure chart and Japanese liner notes explaining the recording process. 8 pages. 8 pages. *JASRAC licensed product by Japan Copyright Association.
