Pierre Syrinx was born in Belgium, studied composition and classical literature at the Royal Conservatory of Mons, received the "Henri Pousseur Prize" for young musicians in 2013, has since received numerous awards, and is currently a member of "SMOG", which organizes monthly concerts of contemporary and experimental music in Brussels. The album "c#2" is the second collaboration with organist Cindy Castillo, and features a two-octave organette played by her and electronics manipulated by Syrinx. It also includes sampled sounds such as nature sounds and children's play sounds, electromagnetic noise, metallic sounds, and sounds like old 8-bit video game music, which brings up various landscapes in the listener's mind.
