Description:

This debut and only album, which has attracted attention in recent years and has been sought after by soul fans, is finally being released on CD for the first time in Japan among rare and overpriced recordings. I Can't Stand It," released in 1964, which also serves as the album title, has been well received in the U.S. and U.K., and some artists have covered the song. (Excerpt from the CD description) Good Time Tonight," the first song on the album, is a powerful song with a blues rhythm, and was also a small hit on the second album. Female groups that lean toward the blues, such as the Ikettes, often feature songs like this. This is evident in the fact that they naturally performed Ray Charles' "The Right Time". The fact that they also included a song by Tarheel Slim, a.k.a. Allen Bunn, in (5) is also an indication of this. The song (8) is also by Titus Turner. Overall, this album is more bluesy R&B than soul. This may be the reason why soul fans are not so excited about this album. But I think this is the charm of the girls.
