This is a collection of live recordings of concerts given by Irina Meduyeva, a talented Russian pianist based in Japan, in Kyoto from 2007 to 2012. This five-disc set includes four CDs of Austro-German repertoire, mainly Schubert and Beethoven, but also Schumann and Brahms, and one CD of Debussy and Mussorgsky, which she performed at a concert in 2012. Most of the repertoire has already been recorded, but the enthusiasm and exuberance of the live performances are different from those of studio or session recordings. The atmosphere of a musical dialogue with each member of the audience is the true appeal of a live recording. Please enjoy the pianism that combines delicacy and strength. Wakabayashi Studio
