Description:
40 years after its premiere, a new milestone in Yamato symphonic music has been set! The Space Battleship Yamato Symphony was composed by Kentaro Haneda a.k.a. "Haneken", a genius arranger and pianist, using the theme motif of the nationally popular anime "Space Battleship Yamato". The first movement is a sonata form using the famous main theme and "Theme of Iskandar," the next movement incorporates music from "The Final Arc," in which Haneda also participated as a composer, the third movement uses Vocalise, and the last movement is a doppelconcerto with solo violin and solo piano on the theme of "Great Love. The work closes with the final movement, developed as a doppelconcerto with solo violin and solo piano on the theme of "Great Love. Tatsuya Shimono, who has been focusing on Japanese works, drives the orchestra and explodes with the energy of this piece, while the three soloists, Fumiaki Miura, Ryoma Takagi, and Ayaka Oki, prove the high degree of perfection of this classical work. This is a piece that proves its high level of perfection as a classical work. The 5,000-character liner notes by music writer Takayuki Komuro are also noteworthy.
