Treasure Ark, a series of high-quality live recordings! From "The Seventh One Tour" in 1988, the last tour under Joseph Williams, the April 20 show at Osaka Festival Hall was recorded! From "The Seventh One Tour" in 1988, the band's fifth tour in Japan, the third date, April 20, was recorded at Osaka Festival Hall. The Seventh One" (1988), the band's seventh album in total, is considered to be their best work since "Toto IV" in 1982, as it again strongly emphasized an AOR-oriented direction, but in the US, the single "Pamela" was a moderate hit, probably due to the record company's promotion system. In the U.S., the single "Pamela" was a hit, but the album was a dismal failure. On the other hand, the album was a hit in Japan, Scandinavia, and other countries where AOR is popular. After the release of "Fahrenheit" (1986), keyboardist Steve Porcaro left the band (and continued to participate in recordings and tours as a session man). Also during this period, vocalist Joseph Williams was in the worst condition due to drugs. The Seventh One Tour" started with an appearance at the San Remo Music Festival in Italy on February 24, about two weeks after the release of the album, and began with a tour of Europe. The tour continued through Europe and Northern Europe until early April, and on April 18, they began their Japan tour, playing nine concerts throughout the month. The performance was one of a kind, and Jeff Porcaro's groove and Luke's solo playing were a delight to the fullest. Also, I don't think Joseph Williams was as bad as people say he was on this day. When he asked the audience to sing, he counted in Japanese, "Ich, nich, san, shhh! when he asked the audience to sing along. This is the last tour record with this band.
