The Vienna Philharmonic continues to keep the musical lights on at this year's Summer Night Concert. Harding and Levitt make their double debut. This is the monumental concert that thrills Viennese audiences every year. Along with the New Year's Concert, the "Vienna Philharmonic Summer Night Concert" is one of the Philharmonic's most famous events, and since its inception in 2004, it has become an established tradition in early summer in Vienna. The open-air concert, held at Schönbrunn Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has been broadcast live (or recorded) to more than 60 countries around the world. The concert has featured a distinguished lineup of conductors, including Gergiev, Barenboim, Welser-Möst, Maazel, Eschenbach, Mehta, and Dudamel, as well as pianist Lang Lang, tenor Kaufmann, and soprano Netrebko. The fact that the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra has positioned this concert as one of the most important concerts in the history of the orchestra is also evident.
