In 2016, he was named one of the 10 hottest new artists to watch by XXL, one of the largest hip-hop media outlets in the U.S., along with Anderson paak, Desiigner, and Lil Yachty, He released "Savage Mode" as a joint EP with hometown hit producer Metro Boomin, which debuted at #23 on the U.S. charts. The EP reached No. 23 on the U.S. charts and attracted attention not only in the music scene but in various other areas as well, including being used as a model for the fashion brand OFF-WHITE.Their debut album "Issa Album" brought together many of the scene's most talented hit makers, including Metro Boomin, DJ Mustard, Zaytoven, and Southside among the producers, and despite being newcomers, the album suddenly reached #2 on the Billboard charts in the US.
