Description:
Appearance of Marzadori, the Commissar of La Scala in Milan! Violin Concerto by musician and mountaineer Sinigaglia! Leone Sinigaglia (1868-1944) was born into a Jewish family and was a composer as well as a mountain climber. Influenced by the early Romantics, especially Mendelssohn, Sinigaglia was devoted to Brahms during his stay in Vienna, and studied under Dvořák in Prague from 1900 onward, developing a style of reflecting the folk songs he collected in his own music. The "Romance and Humoresque" and "Violin Concerto" included here were composed during his stay in Vienna in the late 1890s, before he met Dvořák. The "Violin Concerto," which opens with a magnificent horn solo, is a work that brings to mind the mountainous landscape Sinigaglia must have climbed. The soloist, Laura Marzadoli, is an Italian violinist who studied at the Zurich University of the Arts under the famous teacher Zakhar Bron in 2008. She is expected to play a leading role in the orchestra.The instrument used is a G.B. Guadagnini "ex-Kleynenberg" made in 1783. Tokyo M-Plus
