The British composer/multi-musician is the leader of the British classical/chamber unit KARDA ESTRA, which was formed in the late 90's, and is active in the British classical scene. This is a concept album based on his hometown Wiltshire, where "The Ridgeway", the oldest road in England, and "Stonehenge", a world heritage site with various anecdotes, are located nearby. The album features Amy Fry (cl/sax/vo), who has participated in previous albums, and supporting members such as Chantelle Smith (vo/harp) and Sienna Wileman (sound recording), and is a combination of prog music rooted in classical/chamber music and a gothic horror sound as the cover design suggests. The album is a crossover of prog music rooted in classical/chamber music and folk sounds infused with gothic horror colors, just as the cover design suggests, creating a serious and tranquil sound world.
