Angel Olsen, a beautiful singer-songwriter from Missouri, USA, releases her third album on Jagjaguwar! Her last album, "Burn Your Fire for No Witness," released after moving to a new label, received an 8.3 on Pitchfork and Best New Music, and was talked about as the birth of a new pop lady. The title of her new album is "My Woman". As can be seen from the songs "Sister" and "Woman," the lyrics are not straightforward, but one can read a specific message about one sex or the other. While the acid-folky songs in the early works cited Vashti Bunyan and Judy Sill, and the guitar-strumming, jovial atmosphere of the previous album, in which he sings about loneliness, he also wrote some songs on the piano in this album. The sound also incorporates synths and mellotrons, and is a gradual switch to a new kind of music making, with poetic and enchanting vocals covered in reverb, as in "Intern," which is also shown in the trailer.The producer of the album is Justin Leysen, who also works with Charlie XCX and Sky Ferreira, and the album was recorded in February 2004 at Historic Vox Studios in Los Angeles.
