Volume 3 of “30 Little Sonatas” by Giuseppe Tartini, one of the great violinists and composers of the 18th century. These sonatas, which make full use of all the violin techniques of the time, are not only useful for study but also offer a sense of satisfaction distinct from Bach’s “Unaccompanied” sonatas simply by listening to their rich music. Violinist Peter Shepherd Scavezz has added five previously overlooked pieces to the collection known as the “25 Sonatas” based on his own extensive research.
