Peter Schilling made his album debut in 1982 with the German version of the album "Fehler im System," and the following year, 1983, he released the English version, "ERROR IN THE SYSTEM," which became a worldwide hit with the song "Major Tom" from the same album. The song "Major Tom" from the same album was a worldwide hit and made him a household name worldwide.The English version of "Major Tom" reached #14 on the U.S. charts and an impressive #1 in Canada, and his name and his music became known throughout Europe, North America, and the world. The song remains one of the most successful German productions in the world and has been used in countless films. The new best-of album "COMING HOME: 40 YEARS OF MAJOR TOM" contains 40 songs (20 of them in English, the other 20 in German), including the latest digital remastering in 2023, 4 new songs, and previously unreleased material.
