Description:

Naoto Sakiya has established himself as a specialist in string quartets, and after serving as concertmaster of various orchestras, he is further expanding his activities. BACH," focusing on Bach's unaccompanied works. It received rave reviews in various newspapers and magazines. His next step was to realize his longtime dream of recording the complete sonatas of Brahms with his old friend from his student days, Yoshine Numazawa. Numazawa, Vilsalase's younger brother, delivers a delicate, full-bodied sound, while Sakitani brings to life music of the utmost precision. <Naoto Sakiya (violin) won the first prize in the junior section of the Novosibirsk International Competition and the third prize in the junior section of the Menuhin International Competition in 1998, and became the youngest student at the age of 15 at the Cologne University of Music. In 2006, he founded the Welsh String Quartet. As a first violinist, he won the third prize each in the string quartet division of the Munich International Competition and the string quartet division of the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition. He has performed chamber music with top artists such as Menahem Pressler, Alexander Romanowsky, Paul Mayer, Mischa Maisky, and others.He served as solo concertmaster of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra for eight years since 2014. He has performed as soloist with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, Basel Symphony Orchestra, and others, and has appeared as guest concertmaster with orchestras throughout Japan. He has studied violin with Koichiro Harada, Zakhar Bron, Gerard Poullet, Roland Degaleil, and Daniel Zepek, and string quartet with Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet). He has released six albums as the Welsh String Quartet (fontec) and "DOS DELL FIDDLES-Live-" (Nippon Columbia) as the violin unit DOS DEL FIDDLES with Yasunao Ishida. In 2022, he will release his first album "destined for.... BACH" (fontec), which was selected as a special selection by Record Geijutsu (Recorded Arts). The instrument used is G.B.Rogeri made in 1697. fontec
