Adam Fischer, the Hungarian conductor whose Mahler Cycle with the Düsseldorf Philharmonic Orchestra has been highly acclaimed worldwide in recent years, has released a rare recording of Mahler's Symphony No. 1 from the "Gustav Mahler Fest Kassel", a festival he founded during his tenure as general music director of the National Theater Kassel in Germany (1987-1992). The rare recording of Mahler's Symphony No. 1 from his tenure as General Music Director of the Kassel State Theatre (1987-1992) is now available on the ARS Produktion label, mastered and mastered by ARS Produktion. The Mahler Fest Kassel was founded by Adam Fischer in Kassel, a city with close ties to Mahler, as he is the second conductor of the Kassel Court Opera. In support of the formation of the festival orchestra at the first festival (1989), a number of master musicians from orchestras in Germany, Austria, and other countries joined the festival.The oboe and clarinet are from the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the string section includes the Staatskapelle Dresden, Czech Philharmonic, Hungarian State Opera Orchestra, etc., and the brass section includes members of various German orchestras and even the Concertgebouw Orchestra. A splendid lineup has been assembled!
