While the 1910 version is generally considered the "complete work," it is said that the specific details and orchestration actually differ from those of the premiere. This recording, by Kraft—whose interpretation is considered closest to the composer’s intent—recreates the score used at the ballet’s premiere. Of course, this is the world’s first—and, as of now, only—recording of this version.
