Continuing from their previous album, the lineup features Fujimaru Yoshino (SHOGUN), Makoto Matsushita, Yoshihiko Ando (PARACHUTE), Naoki Watanabe (SPECTRUM), and Kazuo Okamoto (SPECTRUM)—a powerhouse lineup that has long been a mainstay of the Japanese music scene. The entire album was recorded in London. While this influence has deepened the progressive rock and fusion elements, it is a masterpiece that has further solidified its presence as city pop. From the single “Japanese Punkish Girl” to the overwhelming sense of speed in the opening track “Destination,” the fan-favorite “Correspondence,” and the closing track “Do You Remember Me?”—which showcases Fujimaru Yoshino’s signature style in full force—the album’s overall cohesion is exceptional. Furthermore, as bonus tracks, this special edition includes two songs unearthed from multi-track tapes in 2022: the rare, previously unreleased “Hitomi wa Monologue”—the last track recorded during Makoto Matsushita’s tenure with the band—and “Morning Dew (Single Edit).” This classic album is vividly brought back to life in the highest possible sound quality.
