In 1974, Yasuaki Oeda secured a record deal with the song “Rainy Marronnier Street,” which he recorded alongside Masataka Matsutoya, Ginji Ito, and others, with Tatsuro Yamashita—who would later form Sugar Babe—serving as arranger. The following year, in 1975, he made his major-label debut with the folk-rock band “ Niwaka," and made his major-label debut. Half a century later, in 2024—alongside the two titans of the Ika-Ten Bad Girls Band, "School Days" —Mitsuki Suzuki and Yoshiko Yoshino of “Panic in the Z”—to form “bambies.” With the addition of Joekids, who had previously been active in “Privates,” they released their first album, *Beautiful Moon*, on October 8, 2025, and are now set to release their second album, *The Color of Fire*. Yasuaki Oeda—a feat, or rather, a reckless act, or perhaps a chaotic one, that could not have been achieved without 73 years of experience, wisdom, and passion. (C)RS
