BG’s soulful, powerful lead vocals blend beautifully with Zeimani and Kucha’s wistful backing vocals. Produced by Gabriel Ross (Bosco Man)—the Grammy-winning producer who helped shape Dapton’s iconic sound and leader and bassist of The Dap Kings—the album delivers a vintage soul sound. The Woomack Sisters are an R&B vocal group consisting of BG, Zeimani, and Kucha—the three daughters of Linda and Cecil Woomack, the husband-and-wife duo known as Woomack & Woomack. In other words, they are members of a three-generation “royal family” of the soul music world—the granddaughters of Sam Cooke and the nieces of Bobby Womack. Raised in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Thailand, the Bahamas, and Kenya, the sisters have been surrounded by music and singing since childhood. Around 2000, their parents adopted the African name Zechariah, and as the House of Zechariah, they toured the world and recorded albums alongside their four other siblings. In particular, the three sisters established themselves as a trio by serving as backup singers on their uncle Bobby Womack’s final tour. In 2017, they released the self-produced digital single “Darling.” She has also appeared as a guest vocalist on albums by John Batiste and Michael Raut, among others. Then, in August 2025, she officially signed with Daptone Records and released the 7-inch single “If You Want Me/I Just Don’t Want You (To Say Goodbye).”
