HisNameIsAlive, the darkwave project by Michigan-based musician Warren Defever The first three albums—*Livonia*, *Home Is In Your Head*, and *Mouth By Mouth*—which draw on the elegant sound of early 4AD, are set for a long-awaited reissue, remastered! This was his third release on 4AD and the first album where the band handled every step of the process, including mixing. It is regarded as one of the most diverse yet accessible albums of his career. Spanning a wide range of musical styles—from dub, as heard in tracks like “Lord, Make Me a Channel of Your Peace,” to ’60s pop, dreamgaze, alternative noise, and folk—the album marked a significant evolution in the band’s studio work. While pushing the boundaries of experimentation even further, it is regarded as one of the band’s pinnacle achievements.
