The super virtuoso Amran plays "Feinberg"! Marc-André Amran, one of the best super virtuoso pianists of our time, presents a new recording of Feinberg's Piano Sonatas, an outstanding recording! Samuel Feinberg (1890-1962), born in Ukraine, was one of the leading composers and pianists of 20th century Russia (Soviet Union). As a virtuoso pianist, he excelled at playing Bach and Scriabin (he was the first pianist to perform Bach's entire "Mean Clavier Collection" in concert in the Soviet Union), and as a professor at the Moscow Conservatory, he influenced several generations of pianists. Of the 12 piano sonatas written by Feinberg, Nos. 1 through 6 have been recorded by the contemporary virtuoso Amlan. Feinberg has yet to be recorded or performed very often, but his Piano Sonatas Nos. 1-3 were performed during his 2018 tour of Japan and were much talked about for their fantastic appeal, so this recording is sure to be a long-awaited release.Amran's Feinberg is expected to be one of the biggest piano albums of 2020.
