Decca has signed a contract with a female composer of the moment! Her debut recording is a requiem dedicated to her late mother. Rebecca Dale is the first rising female composer to be signed by Decca. This album is a coupling of "Requiem", which she wrote for her late mother, and "When Music Sounds", a choral symphony. One of the songs in When Music Sounds, "I'll Sing," reached No. 1 on the iTunes Classical Charts as soon as it was aired on Classic FM, and she has also written "The Last Song of St. Kilda" and Voces8.
