Description:
Now his new story is revealed, continuing the lineage of storytellers in American roots music. Alabama-born singer/songwriter Jamie Johnson, nominated for 10 Grammy Awards and called "one of the best country singers of our time" by the Washington Post, presents Warner Music Nashville's new American music saga. Midnight Gasoline", her first original studio album in 14 years and her first for the label, is now complete! Analog LP is also released at the same time! Alabama-born singer/songwriter Jamie Johnson has been nominated for 10 Grammy Awards and called "one of the greatest country singers of our time" by the Washington Post. He is highly acclaimed both in the U.S. and internationally, and has a wide fan base that includes classic country, contemporary country, Americana, and mainstream rock. He has now moved to Warner Music Nashville, where he will release his first new album for the label. He will release his first new album on the Warner Music Nashville label. The new studio album, Midnight GASOLINE, will be the first new studio album in nearly 14 years and is the follow-up to his solo studio album THAT LONESOME SOUND, known as Cash One, which sold 1 million copies and went platinum, and THE GUITAR SONG, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association in 2010, It is the follow-up to 2010's Recording Industry Association certified gold album THE GUITAR SONG, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The album is a collection of songs recorded at the famed studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee, owned by Johnny and June Carter Cash and now owned by their son, John Carter Cash. Johnson spent three weeks recording about 30 songs there, sleeping in a bus parked outside so that he could immerse himself in the creative space of the place. He said, "I always wanted to make an album there. We went into the studio and just kept recording one thing after another. Then we thought we were off to the races. This is more like a series than an album," he said. I think the only thing they have in common is myself," he says of the 12 songs on the album. There are no underlying or underlying themes in the songs. They are just glimpses into my life. There are some interesting stories, and not all of them are songs I've written recently. In that respect, I'm really kind of picking up a few songs that might have been ready to be put out before and were unfinished. It's good to get that out there." So he says, and continues. What a View" is one of the new songs written for the album. It's a very personal song.
