Two albums by John Cale, an original member of Velvet Underground and an eternal heretic, will be reissued! Following the release of POPtical Illusion in 2024, two albums that prove the artistic fearlessness that Cale developed in the 1970s as he approached the age of 30 are being reissued! The Academy in Peril, an exhilarating, exploratory classic from 1972, and 1973's Paris 1919, featuring Lowell George and Richie Hayward of Little Feat, a rock band featuring American roots music, are now available on Domino Records! Both albums feature Heba Kadry (who also plays on the album). Both albums were remastered by Heba Kadry (Bjork, Slowdive, Ryuichi Sakamoto), and the reissues of these two albums are the first artist-authorized releases.Paris 1919" includes previously unreleased outtakes, commentary, and the newly recorded "Fever Dream 2024: You're a Ghost".
