These two singers' lush voices, detailed expression and passion make this album full of charm that can only be expressed by a married couple. Irene Perez was born in Chicago in 1979. She studied voice at Indiana University and the Philadelphia Academy of Vocal Arts, and won second prize at the World Opera Competition organized by Domingo in 2006. She has appeared in major operas in the U.S. to high acclaim and made her debut at the Salzburg Festival in 2008. Since then, she has performed at major opera houses around the world, including the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Vienna State Opera, the Royal Opera House, and Teatro alla Scala in Milan. He has also appeared as a guest in concerts with Domingo and Carreras. Stephen Costello was born in Philadelphia in 1981. He studied voice at the Philadelphia Academy of Vocal Arts and while still in school, he appeared in Boheme at the Fort Worth Opera to rave reviews.She appeared at the Metropolitan Opera in 2007 and at the Salzburg Festival in 2008, and was awarded the Richard Tucker Prize in 2009.
