Isabelle Bayrakdarian is an Armenian-Canadian soprano born in Lebanon. Now based in the U.S. (Southern California), she has performed worldwide, including at the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala in Milan, the Semperoper, and the Saito Kinen Festival. Bailakdarian, who recorded songs of her Armenian roots. On her next album, "La Zingarella (The Gypsy Girl)," she sings various Gypsy-themed opera arias, as well as lieder by Liszt, Brahms, and Dvorak, all on the theme of gypsies (Roma). The unique composition and arrangement of the violin and other instruments, including a piano trio depending on the piece, is also noteworthy. Tokyo M-Plus
