Description:
Debut of Ariel String Quartet, a remarkable young American quartet! Ariel String Quartet, a young quartet formed in Israel and active in the United States as of 2018. They will make their debut recording with two great works, Brahms and Bartok! The Ariel String Quartet was formed in Israel by members who were in middle school at the time. In 2004, the quartet moved to the U.S., where it has been active since then. The quartet has won the Cleveland String Quartet Prize, the 1st Prize in the International Franz Schubert and Modern Music Competition, the "Grand Prize" in the Phishov National Chamber Music Competition, the 3rd Prize and the Szekay Prize in the Banff International String Quartet Competition, etc. In 2011, the quartet won the Artur Rubinstein Award for Best String Quartet. He was the official accompanist for the piano quintet at the 2011 Artur Rubinstein International Piano Competition and has been the Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati College of Music since 2012.
